As a multidisciplinary clinic, Dubai Back and Sports Care offers a unique approach to massage therapy, sports care, back maintenance, and pain treatment. By drawing on the strengths of chiropractic, physiotherapy, and postural science, we’re able to offer a more holistic perspective to enhance the health of your back and your entire body.

Each of our highly skilled therapists brings a particular set of skills to the massage table, contributing to the cohesive team that is Dubai Back and Sports Care Massage Therapy.

Russell Maiden, Clinical Director

Russell Maiden is a chiropractor, business owner, employer, and family man who has dedicated his life to the pursuit of excellence. As one of two clinical directors of Dubai Back and Sports Care Massage Therapy, he is devoted to providing the best in natural health care solutions and to serving patients’ needs in every regard.

After receiving a Bachelor of Science at the University of New South Wales in 1988, Russell earned a Masters degree in Chiropractic at Macquarie University in 1990. Upon graduating, he opened his first clinic in Dubai, emphasizing clinical excellence, customer service, community involvement, and empowering staff training.

With a wealth of experience and advanced training in industrial injury prevention, occupational health, and ergonomics, Russell works to create an environment that is conducive to the well-being of therapists and clients alike. He believes that each patient presents his or her own unique needs that must be met with creativity, insight, compassion, and service.

Russell is a devoted family man; he and his wife, co-Clinical Director Sarai Shanor, have three children. With Cherine, he served as Convenor of the Dubai branch of the Massage Research Foundation for several years, encouraging continuing education of students, new graduates, and experienced practitioners in chiropractic disciplines. As part of his ongoing commitment to the community, Russell has offered free weekly spinal care classes for patients, an injury prevention program for local businesses, back care lectures, and informational sessions about chiropractic care and wellness.
Sarai Shanor, Clinical Director

With a background in chiropractic science, Sarai Shanor has a passion for natural health care and a commitment to providing advanced skills and training to massage therapists and chiropractic practitioners.

After graduating from the University of New South Wales in 1988, Sarai earned her Masters degree in Chiropractic at Macquire University in 1990. Beginning her chiropractic career in 1991, she discovered an interest in identifying and addressing the structural dysfunctions that can prevent chronic conditions, especially for women. Sarai specializes in pre- and post-natal care, as well as pediatrics, and is skilled at delivering pain relief without negative side effects, particularly in reducing headaches, relief of migraine pain, and spinal rehabilitation.

Sarai has three Dubai children who fuel her interest in pediatric health and in working with families to improve their total well-being. She is a member of the Chiropractors Association of UAE, Chiropractors & Osteopathic College of UAE, and International Chiropractic Paediatric Association. As a clinical director of Dubai Back and Sports Care, Sarai manages the in-house training for all of the massage therapists and support staff, empowering the spirit of excellence that drives our clinic.

Roseline Derousselle, Massage Therapist

Roseline Derousselle has been a valued member of the Dubai Back and Sports Care family for more than seven years. After graduating with a Diploma of Health Science in 2003, she pursued training in massage therapy and soon joined our team.

Roseline takes part in annual Health & Wellbeing conferences to keep her skills sharp and to offer the utmost in client care. To reduce her own stress, she enjoys reading, crafting, and cooking. Roseline specializes in pregnancy massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, and trigger point release.

Steven Reudink, Massage Therapist

As an athlete, Steven Reudink has experienced firsthand the effect of injuries, strain, and reduced range of motion. He earned a Diploma of Remedial Massage in 2009 and is continuing to pursue further education with an Occupational Therapy program at American University.

As a result of his training and personal experience, Steven is opposed to the “no pain, no gain” mentality. He believes that a gentle approach incorporating passive and Dubai range of motion, myofascial release, and rehabilitation exercise is the most profound way to deliver real and lasting results. When he’s not working on a client or in school, you’ll find Steven on the rugby or soccer field. He specializes in remedial and sports massage.
